My experience at kenwood inn is not very good, starting with them advertising that is pet friendly but when i arrived They said they were not, made up a story about not having the rooms available etc, also because a party was going on they made us enter the Inn from the back door..( very uncomfortable). The room was dusty and with a very weird smell. The bathroom was tiny ( i hit myself a couple times just going in and out) and the shower was terrible. I guess some rooms are good and others bad? Figured by the good reviews i read.. Breakfast is another story, it was excellent.

I just took my daughter for her 21st birthday along with two of her friends to stay in St. Augustine for the weekend. We wanted the bed and breakfast atmosphere rather than a hotel, but it isn't so easy to find this with four people, most ...places seem to cater to couples. This is how we happened across the Kenwood Inn, which was very fortunate for us. Pat is a wonderful Inn Keeper, not only did she steer us in the right direction in regards to restaurants and tours, but she upgraded us to a nicer suite, that was more spacious at no extra cost. Not only because it became available but because she thought it would make my daughters birthday special, which it did. Breakfast was wonderful, the location was great, and the inn itself immaculate. We are already looking for excuses to go back....my birthday is in April, hmmmm.

By far, one of the most amazing and beautiful B&B's in the country- certainly the best in St. Augustine. Decor is gorgeous, elegant and comfortable. Service is warm and gracious, breakfasts are mouthwatering and truly a treat. You will love your experience here!

My stay at the Kenwood is always amazing! Nice service, wonderful accommodations, and great atmosphere. The delicious gourmet breakfast every morning is incredible. Would recommend this to everyone looking for a high class eclectic home away from home

Very nice stay at the Kenwood Bed and Breakfast. The staff were very accommodating and we truly couldn't have asked for a more comfortable and cozy stay away from home while visiting St. Augustine . We stayed in Elizabeth's Room, which is a very spacious bedroom with a king size bed, sofa and modern bathroom with a pedastal sink, rain shower head and jacuzzi. The temperature was comfortable and there is a ceiling fan as well as facility controlled central heating and air. Breakfast was about 3 courses and gourmet style. There is cake served on the premises throughout the day, wine served at 5:00, unlimited access to coffee, tea and beverages as needed and cereal and milk. There is so much I could write but my husband and I would definitely stay here again. A tip: finding the house was a bit tricky, but once found, drop off your bags and get a parking pass from the hostess. The parking lot is about a block away. The house itself is located in historic downtown and within walking distance to many eateries and boutiques. The hostess has discounted trolley tickets about $23 per person for 2 days. It was totally worth it. It is a touring trolley and you can hop on and off, but just know that you will have to hear the history again every time you jump on or off. Tips are appreciated. The only downsides: After driving 5.5 hours, I was met by a very sarcastic lady who totally downgraded my parallel parking by saying "so I guess you weren't taught how to parallel park". It's not something I have to do frequently and for the sake of not hitting the 7 series Bimmer behind me of course I was extra careful. Once we got in she was very nice and took us on a tour to make sure we were comfortable. Lastly, I don't think the guests were used to African American people staying at Bed and Breakfast, however that's how we prefer to travel. We did not feel a welcoming presence by all the guests as they congregated with one another. Alot of them would stare at us and one lady seemed disgusted that we were getting coffee. One comment threw me off on our last night as we were getting morning coffee, one of the guest said to us, "I was wondering why I kept seeing you two and it dawned on me. Ohhhhh they must be staying here too". It was a little offensive because we thought, why else would we be doing all that you are doing. Nevertheless we smiled. Overall, we had a great time and we're sweetly received by the hostess and that's all that mattered.

Loved our stay here, as first timers in the area. The staff was friendly and not over bearing like I anticipated at a B & B. Food was delish and rooms were in excellent condition. Honestly, as a upscale hotel brat I really have no complaints! Thanks to Pat and the rest of the staff for making our weekend great!

This is our favorite b&b anywhere. We have stayed here six times and have never been disappointed. We absolutely love Pat, the owner and inn keeper. It's like homecoming each time we return. Pat has been renovating the rooms one by one and does so with impeccable taste. This is the perfect home base for enjoying all that St. A has to offer.
